What does my web address look like if I use your site?
When you sign up with our site, you will get a subdomain of our site in the format www.name.webity.eu, where name is the ID you choose for your site. The same format is the email address, e.g. mysurname@name.webity.eu.

If you would like your own domain name, you can buy one and then point it to your site with us. The domain you buy would then belong to you. Contact us and we can register a domain name for you.

If you already have a domain - Important: Your domain cannot be set up on your site until you have paid for your site. After you have done this, please follow the steps below.

1. First, you need to fix the DNS for your domain to:
Primary DNS server: dns.webity.eu
Secondary DNS Server: sns.webity.eu

Changing this information is different depending on your registrar. In most cases, there will be some online method of doing this. You will have to refer to the instructions available at your registrar. This usually is under topics like "changing your website host," "changing your dns settings," "changing your name servers" or similar topic. If you have trouble, please contact our Support Team.

2. Second, contact us at the same moment, when you change DNS for your domain, we will prepare everything necessary on the server.

Can I have unique domain name as www.example.com?
If you want to buy a unique domain name, please contact us and we buy a domain name for you.

If you currently have a domain name, please write to your registrar/host to change your DNS records. You can write: „Please, change DNS records of my domain www.example.com to DNS1: „dns.webity.eu“ and DNS2: sns.webity.eu“. Then contact us and tell us domain name and we set it up. This service is for free.

Your permalinks and URL will contain the address of your domain (www.example.eu), and not your Webity sub-domain (example.webity.eu). Visitors will be able to visit your site at www.example.eu while still being able to view it at the original example.webity.eu. Any links that you had coming in previously will not be broken.

For experts only: The A and MX records can continue to point to your server, not at Webity´s servers. The reason for this is so that services like email (if you’re using it) will continue to work even after your domain has been mapped to your Webity site.

What do I have to do to renew my domain name registration?
If your domain name expires, your website will no longer function. If you picked a new domain name when you bought your website, we automatically renew it for you before it expires. Your service will be uninterrupted, and you do not need to worry about keeping track of expiration dates.

Our current renewal price is 15 € once per year for names ending in .eu, and 15 € once per year for names ending .de, .com, .net or .org.

If you used a domain name you registered somewhere else when signing up, you are responsible for keeping the registration up-to-date. You should check the "who-is" feature on your registrar's website to find out when your domain name expires. To ensure uninterrupted service, you may want us to take this over for you. E-mail us, and we can transfer your domain name to our registrar, and it will be renewed automatically once per year at our current prices shown above.

Note: If you want us to take over your domain name, and it has already expired, you must first renew the name with your current registrar. Once your domain name registration is current, we can transfer it to our registrar. One year will be added on to your current expiration date, and your account will be billed (see rates above) when we complete the transfer.

I purchased my own domain name and changed DNS records to yours (dns.webity.eu, sns.webity.eu). What happens to my emails?
Some webhosting providers may delete your old emails, also all data related to your domain on the previous server (we recommend to create backup copies of data and e-mails on the previous Webmail).

When changing DNS records, please, contact us and cooperate this process with us. Once DNS records are changed, we create Alias to your domain name and send you the name and password to your E-mail administration, where you set up new e-mail accounts.

If you set up your emails in Webity.eu system before changing your domain name to dns.webity.eu, the emails  @sitename.webity.eu will be automatically set up as @sitename.com.
Will you handle email to my domain?
If you have paid for the service, you can create several e-mail accounts with your domain. Contact us and we will send you name and password to your E-mail administration, where you can set up new e-mail accounts.
